Some public appearances don’t need much to say it all, and this was one of them. During Akiko de Mikasa’s visit to the Principality, accompanied by Prince Albert II of Monaco, Princess Charlene once again did what she does best, she went for a polished look, without excess and very much in keeping with her style.
It all happened during the ‘Japan Comes to Monaco’ event, just a few hours before the highly anticipated Bal de la Rose, so the context was significant.

Her spring look is defined by a floral dress from Zimmermann
Charlene chose a Zimmermann midi dress with a hydrangea print in soft tones. It’s very much in keeping with spring, but without being obvious.
The design, featuring a high neck and front buttoning, slims the upper body, while the voluminous sleeves add a relaxed touch that balances the whole look.

The belt does its job, defining the silhouette without feeling constricting. She paired the dress with beige Ascent pumps by Gianvito Rossi.
When it comes to her beauty look, there are no unexpected twists. And in her case, that works to her advantage. Her hair is pulled back low, with a few loose strands framing her face, and she wears clean makeup with her eyes subtly defined. Nothing feels forced.
