The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have embarked on a significant six-day visit to Nepal, strengthening the long-standing ties between the UK and the South Asian nation.
Their journey, which began on February 4, 2025, underscores shared commitments in areas such as healthcare, youth development, gender equality, and conservation.
Upon their arrival in Kathmandu, the Duke and Duchess were received with a warm welcome by Nepal’s President, Ram Chandra Paudel, and his wife, Sabita, at the Presidential Palace in Maharajgunj.
This marked the beginning of their first official visit to the country, an opportunity to engage with various initiatives and organizations dedicated to social progress.
Duchess of Edinburgh’s style in Nepal
For the welcome, the Duchess wore a beautiful Desmine dress by Mary Katrantzou in Metallum Teal, a sophisticated and contemporary choice for the occasion.
She paired it with Jimmy Choo Rosalia 65 pumps, adding a touch of refinement to her ensemble.
Completing her look, she carried a Matalier Vintage Bag in Indigo and accessorized with amber earrings she had previously worn, demonstrating her signature approach to sustainable fashion by incorporating well-loved pieces.
