Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, traveled to Northampton on Monday to fulfill a schedule of social and cultural engagements.
During her visit, she made a special stop at Northampton Bike Park, a 40-acre space built on a former golf course, where she saw firsthand how the park promotes cycling among residents of all ages.
There, she spoke with volunteers, students, and project promoters interested in improving the well-being of the community through sport.
Earlier, the Duchess visited Blackthorn Good Neighbors Nursery to commemorate the center’s tenth anniversary and learn more about the work of the Growing Together project.
She also toured the center of Northampton to participate in the events marking the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire that devastated the city in 1675. At the Museum and Art Gallery, she had the opportunity to interact with the local history group and try out a new educational app that illustrates the consequences of that episode.
The Duchess of Edinburgh’s style in Northampton
For this busy day, the Duchess chose a functional outfit. She wore a white wool jacket by Prada and a beautiful pleated skirt with a floral print by Gabriela Hearst, which she paired with Jimmy Choo heels and a nude handbag by Sophie Habsburg.
She completed her look with jewelry from Adore Jewels and rings from Monica Vinader, achieving a fresh image very much in keeping with the nature of her activities.
