On April 29, 2024, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, visited Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv with Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine.
This visit made her the first royal to travel to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
The purpose of her visit was to show support for the people affected by the war, continuing her work to help survivors of conflict-related sexual violence.
For her time in Ukraine, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a stylish outfit.
She chose a printed cotton midi dress from Etro, paired with cream leather pointed pumps by Nicola Sexton. She accessorized with a gold chain bracelet featuring a sliced diamond from Felt and carried a blue Ginny clutch by Sophie Habsburg.
