Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, once again grabbed the media spotlight with her stylish reappearance this Tuesday, December 3.
In a significant step in her recovery from cancer, the wife of Prince William joined the official events organized in honor of the state visit of the Emir and Sheikha of Qatar to the United Kingdom.
Along with William, Kate was on hand to greet the Qatari couple at their hotel and escort them to the iconic Horse Guards Parade, where King Charles III awaited them.
Later, the princess also attended a luncheon at Buckingham Palace, although for that occasion she surprised with a change of attire that did not go unnoticed.
Two outfits for one day
At the welcoming ceremony, Kate wore a sophisticated burgundy coat designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
This classic model, characteristic of the princess’s refined style, was distinguished by its double-breasted V-neckline, shirt collar and a fitted waist that enhanced her figure.
She completed the ensemble with matching Gianvito Rossi boots, leather gloves, a Chanel bag that she has worn on other occasions and an elegant headpiece by Sahar Millinery.

However, for the lunch and subsequent show at Buckingham, Kate opted to switch coats. She replaced the McQueen design with one by Eponine London, almost identical to the first, but with minor differences.
This second coat-dress had a V-shaped crossover neckline, decorative buttons at the waist and a midi-length skirt.
In addition, she changed her boots for suede pumps from the same Italian designer, achieving an even more formal and sophisticated touch.
Although the change of coat generated curiosity, what remained constant was the jewel Kate chose for the occasion: a pearl choker necklace by Garrard, which belonged to the personal collection of Queen Elizabeth II.
This iconic piece, composed of four rows of Japanese pearls and a central diamond detail, had already been worn by Kate at solemn events such as Prince Philip’s funeral and that of Elizabeth II.
