Princess Kate has resumed her public engagements with a highly anticipated appearance during French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to the United Kingdom.
Accompanied by Prince William, she welcomed the French leader and First Lady Brigitte Macron at RAF Northolt air base, where they exchanged greetings in a cordial atmosphere.
Macron’s visit also included a ceremonial display led by King Charles III and Queen Camilla in Windsor.
Princess Kate in a Dior look
Her choice of outfit did not go unnoticed. Kate opted for a French designer ensemble as a diplomatic nod to her visitors.
The princess wore a powder pink jacket by Christian Dior, a design reinterpreted by Maria Grazia Chiuri from the iconic 1947 Bar model.
She completed the look with a Jess Collett hat, earrings that belonged to Princess Diana, and a pearl necklace that was part of Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry collection.
Her participation comes shortly after she shared at a hospital event how difficult the post-treatment period has been for her.
At the same event, she donated 50 roses of the “Catherine’s Rose” variety to the Colchester Hospital garden as a sign of support for the fight against cancer.
