Kate Middleton made a strong return to the public eye by attending the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
The event, organized by the British Fashion Council in London, was the perfect setting for the Princess of Wales to reaffirm her link with British fashion through an impeccable outfit signed by Victoria Beckham.
The choice was not casual. Wearing a national brand in a ceremony dedicated to local design seemed almost mandatory, and Kate did it in style.

The suit, in a willowy green tone that evoked the classic elegance of the 70s, was composed of a straight-cut jacket with pronounced shoulder pads and patch pockets, and wide-leg pants with a high waist.
Although other royals had already opted for Beckham’s signature, Kate had kept some distance until now.
She completed the look with a white ruffled blouse, brown Ralph Lauren heels that have become a regular in her closet, and a piece of jewelry with sentimental value: the pearl earrings that belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.
This accessory, loaded with history and inherited from the royal collection, was a direct nod to the figure of the monarch, who gives her name to the award that the princess presented.
The design of the earrings, made with pearls given to Elizabeth at her wedding in 1947, has been worn by several generations, including Princess Diana.
