Princess Kate has once again attended the traditional St. Patrick’s Day parade, an event with which she has a special bond.
This year, her attendance had an even more special meaning, as it marked her return after having been absent from the previous edition due to her cancer treatment.
Now, with the disease in remission, the Princess of Wales has resumed her role with the elegance that characterizes her.
Kate Middleton’s St Patrick’s Day Style
Dressed in an impeccable green coat, the color that symbolizes Ireland, Kate arrived at Wellington Barracks in London, ready to take up her role as colonel of the Irish Guards.
She assumed this title in 2022, following the proclamation of Charles III, when her husband, Prince William, became colonel of the Welsh Guards.
Although in the past Kate attended this event as a companion of her husband and participated in the presentation of shamrocks, now she has a more relevant responsibility: the review of the troops.
During the ceremony, there was an emotional moment with the reunion between the princess and Turlough, the friendly Irish wolf dog that is the official mascot of the regiment.
True to her style and with nods to the symbolism of the event, Kate opted for an elegant green coat by Alexander McQueen, a piece she had already premiered on her trip to Boston in 2022.
The garment, with a notch collar, fitted waist and cuff detailing, highlighted her silhouette perfectly.
To complement her outfit, she opted for black suede high heeled boots by Gianvito Rossi, a green scarf to ward off the cold and a matching headpiece that she had already worn on the same holiday in 2019.
As for jewelry, she chose earrings by Kiki McDonough designed especially for her on the occasion of the birth of Princess Charlotte in 2015.
The pieces, crafted in yellow gold, feature tourmalines and green amethysts surrounded by diamonds, bringing a touch of sparkle without detracting from the prominence of the set.
A detail that could not be missed
As is tradition, the Princess of Wales wore pinned on her coat the iconic golden shamrock brooch, a jewel that belongs to the Irish Guards and that is lent to her every year for the occasion.
He also continued the custom of handing out shamrocks to soldiers.
With her return to the St. Patrick’s Day parade, Kate Middleton has once again demonstrated her commitment to her role within the royal family.
