The week has been particularly hectic for Princess Amalia of the Netherlands, who is gradually beginning to assume more prominence in official royal events.
While her mother, Queen Maxima, is already completely accustomed to these engagements, for Amalia, future heir to the throne, they have been key moments to show herself to the world.
After her participation in the Prinsjesdag in The Hague and the gala dinner at Noordeinde Palace, Amalia continued with a trip to Greece with her mother to attend a charity event in memory of Marianna Vardinogiannis, a great friend of the family.
Queen Maxima’s and Princess Amalia’s style in Greece
Their arrival in Athens did not go unnoticed. The Queen and Princess posed with Christiana Vardinogiannis, organizer of the event and Marianna’s daughter, showing not only their commitment to the charity cause, but also an impressive elegance that made them the center of attention.
Maxima, true to her impeccable taste, wore a spectacular nude silk cady jumpsuit by Elie Saab. This design highlighted her figure with a cinched waist and flared legs, while the abstract details on the cuffs added a touch of fantasy to the classic ensemble.
For her part, Amalia, who had dazzled at the Prinsjesdag in a green cape dress by Safiyaa, opted this time for a two-piece suit by Max Mara.
The tailored suit, in a fragola shade – a subtle strawberry pink – was composed of a double-breasted blazer and wide pants in virgin wool, an ensemble whose total price tag is around $2,700.
To complete her look, the princess wore the same accessories she had previously worn on Prince’s Day: a golden pearl tiara by Vilma, button earrings by Lott jewelry and a clutch by Jacquemus, all valued at more than $1,100.
The event, organized by the Vardinogiannis family, in collaboration with the Marianna Vardinogiannis Foundation and the ‘WLPIDA-Friends of Children with Cancer’ Association, brought together various personalities, including the President of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and members of Greek royalty.
After the event in Athens, Maxima and Amalia quickly returned to the Netherlands on a private flight, as both had to keep to their busy royal schedule.
