During the 80th anniversary of Victory Day memorial service held at Westminster Abbey, Kate Middleton once again demonstrated why her style continues to set the royal standard.
As events remembered those who fought in World War II, the spotlight, once again, stopped on the Princess of Wales.
Kate Middleton’s style at Westminster Abbey
Kate appeared in a dress that we already knew, but this time it took on new life.
It was an Alessandra Rich design with black polka dot print on a white background. The cut is very 1940s, with a closed neckline, cinched waist and midi skirt.
The piece had already made its debut during the 2023 Garter Day, although then it was accompanied by a larger pamela.
This time, the star accessory was a black suede headpiece with small flowers and a delicate lattice that slightly covered the face. A sober detail, but full of charm.
The choice of bag broke a little with the black and white palette. She wore a caramel-toned model by DeMellier. The bag is small, structured lines, with a top handle and a golden bar on the flap.
The shoes were Ralph Lauren pumps in the same color range. Subtle, but effective.
The most talked about, however, were the earrings. A pair of pearl pendants with diamonds that belonged to Princess Diana.
This jewel was a gift from the firm Collingwood to Lady Di before her wedding and, after her death, passed into the hands of Prince William. Today, Kate wears them on occasions that call for a more intimate nod.
