Today, Oviedo is dressed to the nines with the start of the Princess of Asturias Awards 2024, and Princess Leonor has become the great protagonist of the opening day.

The eldest daughter of the King and Queen of Spain has been recognized with two important distinctions that reinforce her close ties with Asturias: her appointment as Honorary Mayoress of Oviedo and the awarding of the Medal of Asturias.

Discretion was also present in the jewelry. Leonor opted for a silver ring and earrings that are part of the jewelry box of her mother, Queen Letizia.

The earrings, from the Spanish firm Gold & Roses, are known as Double Dagger, made of white gold and diamonds, and are inspired by the weapons of Arab warriors.
