There is something about the Mallorcan summer that brings out the most relaxed and radiant version of Princess Leonor. This time was no different.
In her first appearance at the traditional reception at the Marivent Palace—an event that until now had been reserved only for her parents—Leonor took an important institutional step and wore one of her most talked-about outfits.
Boho Summer Look: Princess Leonor Shines in Mallorca
She did so with a dress that is not new, but very significant. It is a Desigual design that her mother, Queen Letizia, wore on this same stage in 2022.
Printed in shades of blue, with a Bardot neckline and a flared skirt that calls for a sea breeze. The gesture of recycling one of Letizia’s pieces, and doing so right here, says more than it seems. There is a connection, there is a nod, and there is style.
Leonor made it her own with black espadrilles, large gold earrings, and a sleek ponytail that left everything on display: shoulders, face, attitude.
The mix of bohemian and Mediterranean suits her well, perhaps because she doesn’t force anything.
It’s summer, and you can tell she enjoys the light uniform imposed by Marivent, where there are no longer such strict codes, but rather a natural elegance that the princess has been able to read.
