On November 20, World Children’s Day, Princess Madeleine of Sweden took part in a series of meaningful engagements to highlight children’s rights and bring joy to young lives.
Her day began at the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital, located within the Karolinska University Hospital in Solna. There, the Princess met with children receiving treatment, offering them words of encouragement and brightening their day with her presence.
World Children’s Day, observed annually on this date, serves as a global platform to advocate for the rights and well-being of children.
During her visit, Princess Madeleine was also updated on the collaboration between Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital and Min Stora Dag (My Big Day), a Swedish organization dedicated to creating special experiences for children facing serious illnesses.
Later in the day, Princess Madeleine visited the Min Stora Dag office in Vasastaden. As the organization’s patron, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to the staff for their unwavering commitment to supporting children with challenging diagnoses.
