Queen Letizia’s official engagements are not only a window to showcase her tireless institutional work, but also to appreciate her impeccable sense of style.
This December 19, during her visit to Cuenca with King Felipe VI, the queen dazzled in an outfit that balanced elegance, comfort and a nod to the Christmas season.
The day began with the inauguration of the new University Hospital of Cuenca, followed by a visit to the city’s town hall. But beyond the protocol acts, it was her choice of wardrobe that caught the eye and left a fashion lesson.
Queen Letizia’s burgundy outfit: a Christmas choice
For this occasion, the mother of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, opted for a burgundy suit jacket from the French firm Sézane.
This two-piece, just released, stood out not only for its color, an elegant alternative to the traditional Christmas red, but also for its fluid design that provided a sense of comfort.
The jacket and pants, with wide, modern cuts, showed how a classic garment can be reinvented to suit the times.
The queen complemented her outfit with a nude-toned blouse, which achieved a subtle but flattering contrast, bringing balance to the ensemble.
Instead of classic pumps, she opted for wide-heeled boots in beige, a choice that added a contemporary feel.
Letizia’s accessories were another highlight. She carried a beige quilted bag by Adolfo Dominguez, ideal for complementing her outfit without detracting from its prominence.
In addition, the pearl earrings that she debuted on her trip to Angola last year, shone again.
The queen’s makeup also marked a subtle change. She opted for a more defined look than on previous occasions, with lips painted in a shade that echoed the burgundy of her outfit.
