Queen Letizia opted for one of those gala looks that seem simple at first glance but conceal several intriguing details.
For the dinner held in honor of President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron, she chose a long Carolina Herrera gown in a delicate shade of Cloudy Blue.

The design featured a straight silhouette, allowing the semi-sheer yoke with floral motifs to take center stage. The sleeves, featuring a cape effect and slits, added movement to a piece that didn’t need a lot of embellishment.
Letizia paired the dress with metallic sandals from Martinelli x Redondo Brand and her rings by Coreterno and Karen Hallam, keeping the overall look fairly understated.

What tiara did Letizia wear at the gala dinner?
And here came the most regal part of the look. The queen once again donned the Floral Diamond Tiara, one of her favorite pieces since her years as Princess of Asturias. The piece of jewelry was a wedding gift from Francisco Franco to Queen Sofía, and its origins date back to the late 19th century. Letizia also wore Queen Ena’s earrings, which complemented the tiara throughout the evening.

There’s no question that a formal gown doesn’t need to be overly embellished when the tiara already makes such a striking statement. The result struck that balance between fashion, protocol, and tradition that the queen typically seeks.
