This week, in her first official appearance, Queen Letizia chaired the board meeting of the FAD Youth Foundation. As is often the case, the message was conveyed not only through her words, but also through her attire.
For an event focused on the digital safety of children, adolescents, and young people, she opted for a formula familiar to those who closely follow her style: reimagining classic garments with a modern twist.

The star of the show was a purple blouse with a bow, a piece she’s kept in her wardrobe since 2009. It’s a design by Felipe Varela, a firm from which Letizia has distanced herself for years, at least stylistically. Even so, this proves that good pieces never go out of style. Semi-transparent sleeves, satin details, and an elegance that speaks for itself.

Why did she pair an antique blouse with a modern suit?
The key was the contrast. Letizia paired the blouse with a gray pinstripe suit from Hugo Boss, a recent addition to her wardrobe. A straight-cut, double-breasted blazer paired with high-waisted, slightly flared trousers.
A sober, professional ensemble, perfectly suited to the tone of the meeting, which focused on the challenges of digital security in youth environments.

She completed the look with wide-heeled loafers from Pons Quintana, a model she frequently chooses for comfort, and her usual official day-to-day jewelry: PDPAOLA Sugar earrings and a Coreterno ring.
Nothing was left over. Nothing was missing. And, from my perspective, that’s where the success lies.
