Queen Letizia’s Fuchsia Look at Her First Official Event in China

Queen Letizia once again demonstrated her mastery of diplomatic fashion. At her first official event in China, during a tribute to the poet Antonio Machado in Chengdu, she chose a fuchsia dress that we had already seen her wear last year at the Princess of Asturias Awards.

It was no casual choice, as the vibrant color breaks with the typical sobriety of state visits while simultaneously connecting with the symbolism of energy and optimism.

Why did Letizia choose fuchsia for her visit to China?

Fuchsia is a powerful color, and Letizia is well aware of it. Although red has been her signature color for years, this pink hue gives her a more approachable air without sacrificing authority.

The dress, crafted from tweed – one of her favorite autumn fabrics – features her signature details: French sleeves with fringes, flattering waistlines, and a flowing skirt.

The entire ensemble conveys elegance without rigidity, precisely what she typically seeks in her international engagements.

Black accessories and a touch of sophistication

To balance the color, the queen paired the dress with black accessories. She carried a Carolina Herrera Victoria Insignia bag, a classic in her wardrobe, and wore medium-heeled shoes by Magrit.

The coat, also black, added that timeless touch that never fails. But the most interesting touch was the earrings with multicolored stones – pinks, oranges, lilacs, and greens – pieces from the now-defunct Dime Que Me Quieres firm, which added light to the ensemble.

A loose hairstyle and an impeccable presence

Letizia chose to wear her hair down in soft waves and applied warm, orange-toned makeup, a choice that complemented her natural and confident image.

In this first engagement, she made it clear that she remains true to her impeccable style, but without artifice.
