During the ceremony, the royal couple paid tribute to the 2022 honorees, recognizing a diverse group of athletes and organizations.
Among the honorees were tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz, para-athlete Susana Rodriguez, basketball star Izan Almansa, the Madrid Down Syndrome Foundation and the Spanish skating team, each praised for their dedication, achievements and impact on the world of sport.
