On May 28th , during her visit to the town of Guadalupe in Cáceres, Spain, Queen Letizia once again used fashion as a vehicle for social support.
The day began with a visit to the Town Hall of Guadalupe, where the Queen accompanied by King Felipe met with the Municipal Corporation.
Later they toured the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria, a significant place for both of them since their first visit as newlyweds in 2004.
Queen Letizia’s floral dress
On this occasion, she chose a dress by the Valencian firm Yolanda Guillén, one of the many affected by the floods of last October.
The design, with a shirt cut and floral print, was a symbolic choice that revives the link between the Queen and the entrepreneurs of the textile sector who are still recovering from the damage suffered.
Letizia completed her look with white espadrilles, a type of footwear that she had not worn in public for some time, and which was once one of her favorite choices for the summer season.
This time she wore them again after having stopped wearing them due to a foot injury the previous year.
The look was completed with a blue Adolfo Domínguez handbag, rescued from her closet after years without use, and Tous earrings created especially for her, with lapis lazuli and amber stones.
