The Royal Palace in Madrid once again became the setting for an important diplomatic meeting.
On this occasion, the King and Queen of Spain offered a lunch in honor of the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, who is on an official visit to the country.
Although the day had a clear institutional and political focus, Queen Letizia caught the eye with her impeccable choice of wardrobe and the special detail of a jewel with history.
Queen Letizia’s Navy Blue Outfit at the Royal Palace
For the occasion, the Queen opted for the timeless elegance of a navy blue ensemble composed of a French-sleeved jacket with shirt collar and a straight midi skirt.
The top piece, with a slight peplum effect and marked cuffs, gave structure to the style, favoring her silhouette.
The firm responsible for this design is still unknown, but it fits perfectly with the style that Letizia has been consolidating in recent years.
However, beyond the clothing, the real protagonist of her look was a brooch of great historical value.
It is a piece that is part of the so-called “passing jewels”, reserved exclusively for the queens of Spain.
This brooch, described by Victoria Eugenia herself in her will as a “pale gray pearl surrounded by diamonds, with a pear-shaped pearl pendant”, has been used on several occasions by both Queen Sofia and Letizia.
However, on this occasion, the Queen decided to wear it differently, dispensing with the hanging pearl for a more sober and modern effect.
To complement her look, she opted for white gold and diamond earrings by Ansorena.
Interestingly, these earrings usually incorporate detachable Australian pearls, but, in tune with her choice of brooch, the Queen preferred to wear them in their simplest version.
As a final touch, she completed her look with Magrit pumps in navy blue, with a low heel that allowed her to move comfortably during the kissing ceremony with the Spanish and Egyptian authorities present at the event.
