Queen Letizia has resumed her official schedule in Madrid, after inaugurating the new academic year last week in Paris during the Paralympic Games.
This Monday, the Queen appeared at La Zarzuela Palace to preside over two audiences. The media, eager to capture the first images of her return to royal engagements, had to wait a little longer than planned.
Although the first meeting was scheduled for 10:30 a.m., the Queen did not make her appearance until 10:50 a.m., but there was a special reason for this slight delay.
Before her official audiences, Letizia was recording a video together with Andres Marcio, a young man affected by laminopathy, a rare degenerative disease that only affects about 100 people in the world. This condition causes muscle weakness, breathing difficulties and heart problems, among other symptoms.
The meeting with Marcio was not by chance; he leads a foundation that bears his name and seeks to raise funds for further research into his disease.
After finishing the recording, the Queen went to the Crystal Hall of the palace to receive representatives of the Spanish Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ADELA) and then met with members of the Women in Music Association, who work to promote and raise the visibility of female professionals in the music industry.
Queen Letizia’s style at audiences at the Zarzuela Palace
For these audiences, Letizia opted for a formal and simple outfit, without big surprises, but always impeccable.
She retrieved from her closet an elegant white blouse with front shirring details and French sleeves, a garment she had already worn in 2016, although the brand remains a mystery.
She paired this classic piece with straight-cut pants in navy blue, keeping a sober and appropriate style for the occasion.
One detail that caught the eye was her choice of footwear: low-heeled sandals by Hugo Boss, made in nappa leather, with a thin strap at the ankle and another padded at the top, with a comfortable heel of 5 cm.
This model, which originally cost $250, is currently discounted to $150 and is one of the Queen’s favorite choices for this season, as she has had to swap high heels for more comfortable options due to discomfort in her feet.
As for accessories, the Queen completed her look with yellow gold hoop earrings, combining a braided part with a smooth one, and, as usual, she wore her favorite ring from the firm Coreterno.
