The state visit of the King and Queen of Spain to Italy was not only full of official engagements, but also left a remarkable mark in the field of fashion.
For three days, Queen Letizia surprised with six outfits that reflected her versatility and attention to detail.
Queen Letizia Style in Italy
The Queen of Spain’s luggage was a balanced mix of exclusivity and sustainability, demonstrating once again how she uses fashion as a diplomatic and symbolic tool.
First day: Elegance in White
The Queen began her visit with a practical and discreet look on her farewell to Spain, marked by a coat and a scarf to protect herself from the cold.
However, everything changed when she arrived in Italy. At an evening event, Letizia dazzled in a white Mango suit that stood out among the dark men’s suits.
The outfit, was composed of a blazer with satin lapels and palazzo pants. To complete the look, she opted for metallic accessories from Magrit and earrings from the Valencian firm Sure.
Second day: Tweed and sobriety for official events
Wednesday began with an elegant outfit by Carolina Herrera made in tweed. This two-piece consisted of a pencil skirt and a jacket with lantern sleeves.
The accessories remained sober but refined: heeled pumps by Magrit and Luzia jewelry by Gold & Roses, created in rose gold and diamonds, along with her Coreterno ring.
In the evening, the gala dinner at the Quirinal Palace offered a display of luxury without tiaras, but with a new Max Mara dress.
This Italian design, in silk georgette and shiny satin, featured sculptural draping at the shoulder. Letizia paired it with the iconic twin bracelets from the pasar lot, black diamond earrings and an Aquazzura clutch in black satin embellished with crystals.
Third day: Circular fashion and a tribute to Spain
On Thursday, the Queen stood out for her commitment to circular fashion by wearing a borrowed Alberta Ferretti ensemble, composed of a tweed two-piece and matching coat.
The ensemble was accessorized with the iconic Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag and Magrit pumps, which have become a staple in her closet.
The visit concluded with an event in Naples, where King Felipe VI was named Doctor Honoris Causa by the Federico II University.
On this occasion, Letizia paid tribute to Spanish designers with an outfit by the firm ‘The 2nd Skin’, consisting of a taffeta skirt with sequins and a white blouse. As a complement, she carried Magrit’s ‘Mica’ bag in nude color and vintage style jewelry.
