Letizia doesn’t do anything without a reason, and this week she proved it again. She met with the management team and designers of the 83rd edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, fully aware that all eyes would be on her wardrobe.
The decision was highly strategic, and she wore a dress without a recognizable signature to avoid making unpleasant comparisons or raising suspicions.

For this meeting, she wore a tweed dress she first wore to the 2024 Cervantes Prize ceremony. The design, in shades of purple and gray, features French sleeves, a closed collar, a midi length, and frayed detailing at the waist and cuffs.

She paired it with black Magrit pumps featuring a front buckle and low heels, discreet earrings with a small diamond, a PDPAOLA necklace with a lab-grown diamond, and her Coreterno ring.

Following her meeting with the Fashion Week team, Letizia also met with representatives from the Foundation for the Development of Nursing (FUDEN), and later with the managing director of Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and the president of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases.
She was introduced to the Unique Project, an initiative aimed at ensuring rapid and personalized diagnoses for the 600,000 children in Spain living with rare diseases. A full day where fashion was just the beginning.
