After an emotionally charged weekend as she bid farewell to Princess Leonor, who is already sailing aboard the Elcano training ship, Queen Letizia resumed her institutional agenda this Wednesday with an important commitment in Madrid.
The event took place at the Palacio del Marqués de Salamanca, where she presided over an event organized by the BBVA Microfinance Foundation, entitled ‘Seeds for a sustainable future’.
The meeting highlighted the fundamental role of cocoa and small businesses as an engine for combating poverty and promoting economic development.
As usual in her speeches, Letizia gave a speech without having to read papers, something very common in her speeches and which we have reviewed several times in RoyalFamily.news.
Queen Letizia in Tweed Outfit
For the occasion, the queen opted for a tweed outfit in shades of purple and gray, with midi length, French sleeves and closed collar.
The design, which includes frayed details at the waist and cuffs, had previously been premiered in April last year during the Cervantes Award ceremony in Alcalá de Henares.
Although it does not belong to any of the brands that she often wears, everything suggests that it could be the work of Zarzuela’s seamstress, as it follows the pattern of other dresses that have been made for her before.
To protect herself from the cold, she completed the outfit with an elegant black coat from Mango, which stands out for its built-in belt.
As for footwear, she chose black suede pumps with a low, comfortable heel, a very wise choice given that the Queen is known to suffer from foot ailments.
As an accessory, she carried a black Victoria Insignia Satchel by Carolina Herrera, which she also owns in camel.
A particularly significant detail of her style were the earrings chosen for this occasion.
They are the Superestar model of the Valencian firm Singularu, made of steel and plated in 18 carat gold.
This choice is no coincidence, as Letizia has repeatedly shown her support for this brand after the devastating floods of October 2024.
Queen Letizia debuted these earrings during audiences in Zarzuela on November 12 and, since then, she has worn them at various official events.
