Queen Letizia once again demonstrated her impeccable fashion sense during her recent arrival in Rome, where she and King Felipe VI began an official visit.
On this occasion, the Queen starred in an express wardrobe change, leaving behind the dark tones she wore in Madrid to opt for an elegant white ensemble.
After landing at Fiumicino airport, the King and Queen headed straight to the Royal Spanish Academy in Rome, which was celebrating its 50th anniversary.
There, they not only posed with Hispanists in front of the emblematic San Pietro in Montorio, but also toured an exhibition before leading a reception with the Spanish community living in Italy, an event that brought together 300 guests at the residence of the Spanish ambassador.
Queen Letizia’s white outfit upon arrival in Rome
For this occasion, the Queen opted for a sober white suit composed of a fitted blazer and palazzo-style pants.
Complementing the look, the Queen opted for earrings from the Valencian firm Sure, specifically the Nanuk Long Gold model.
To protect herself from the low temperatures, Letizia has protected herself with a white coat, a classic design with a straight cut and crossed neckline with a built-in belt. Not missing a scarf, also white, covering her neck. Both pieces were removed at the reception.
These jewels, which represent five 18-karat gold-plated suns, not only added a touch of sparkle to the outfit, but also had a special meaning.
The Sure brand suffered damage to its family jewelry store in the recent floods in Valencia, and with this gesture, Letizia seemed to show her support for the affected community.
To complete the styling, she chose metallic accessories from the firm Magrit: a handbag that she kept with her throughout the event and comfortable heeled slingback shoes, ideal for her well-known foot ailments.
