Queen Letizia surprised with a practical outfit during the farewell ceremony at the State Pavilion of the Adolfo Suarez-Barajas Airport, prior to her official trip to Italy with King Felipe VI.
The brief event, which took place Tuesday afternoon, marked the start of a visit that will include highlights such as the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome and a reception at the Spanish ambassador’s residence.
For the flight to Rome, Letizia opted for a dark-toned outfit, comfortable and appropriate for the low temperatures.
Queen Letizia’s Winter Outfit Before Her Trip to Italy
The centerpiece of her outfit was a black wool coat, a classic design with a crossover silhouette and a bow belt. This coat was ideal to protect her from the Madrid cold.
Complementing this choice, the Queen wore a black scarf, which kept her neck warm and left an air of mystery over the top garment she wore underneath.
Underneath, Letizia debuted a pair of gray tweed palazzo pants. These wide-cut pants brought a contemporary touch to her look, subtly contrasting with the classicism of the coat.
For footwear, she chose black boots from the Valencian firm Unisa. This model, already known in her closet, stands out for its practical design with a 6-centimeter wide heel and square toe.
The most emotional detail of the outfit were the earrings that the Queen chose for the occasion. Letizia wore a pair of the Valencian brand Singularu, specifically the Superestar model, made of steel and plated in 18 carat gold.
Letizia is expected to surprise in Rome with styles to match the important events taking place during this visit.
