This Tuesday morning, the King and Queen of Denmark, Frederik and Mary, began their busy schedule in Kiel, the capital of Schleswig-Holstein, with a reception in their honor hosted by the president of the region.
During the event, they enjoyed an exquisite menu that included veal culotte with shallots, pumpkin and cranberries, followed by a delicious licorice pannacotta accompanied by fresh cream ice cream.
After the reception, the couple rode an electric ferry to the GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research, reaffirming their interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
Queen Mary’s style in Germany
The day before, Princess Mary had dazzled in two very formal looks. For her arrival, she opted for an elegant light blue skirt with a check print in nude tones by designer Emilia Wickstead, complemented by a blue blouse and matching tiara.
At the gala dinner in the evening, she wore a stunning red Carolina Herrera dress, which did not go unnoticed.
However, on her second day in Kiel, Mary opted for a more casual, but equally sophisticated style.
Mary wore a pair of striking red straight-leg pants from The Fold, which she paired with a new blouse from British brand ME + EM, known to be a favorite of Princess Kate and the Duchess of Edinburgh.
The blouse, made in white breathable cotton, stands out for its modern abstract floral print in copper tones, giving a fresh and vibrant touch to the outfit. With long sleeves, the garment includes delicate lace details at the top, adding a note of elegance to the design.
Mary finished off the outfit with an elegant burgundy blazer, which contrasted with the vibrant red of the pants, and shoes from Malone Souliers.
These camel-colored pumps, with a narrow toe and a heeled design, fit the foot by means of two straps on the instep, offering a modern and comfortable look at the same time.
The final touch was a matching bag by designer Anya Hindmarch, demonstrating once again Princess Mary’s ability to mix comfort and style for any occasion.
