Queen Mary of Denmark made an appearance this Sunday, November 3, at the Hubertus Hunt, an event held at the hunting lodge of the Hermitage Palace, just outside Copenhagen.
Along with her youngest daughter, Princess Josephine, the queen attended a thrilling horse show, a tradition that once included fox hunting. In recent years, however, the event has taken a more animal-friendly approach, with riders now chasing a fake fox tail.
Queen Mary’s Countryside Look
For the occasion, Queen Mary opted for a rustic-chic look that combined practicality with timeless style.
She wore a quilted green vest from Seeland, perfect for the country setting, under a brown, long-cut virgin wool coat from Strenesse that lent a touch of warmth and sophistication.
Mary completed her outfit with classic velvet pants and sturdy boots suitable for the autumn chill.
She initially wore a cozy burgundy wool hat, but soon swapped it for a more formal, wide-brimmed hat that matched the traditional tone of the event.
The Queen complemented her look, wearing the Ragnar R. Jørgensen hunting brooch, a subtle nod to the event’s heritage, along with a Love Bands Curved ring by Ole Lynggaard in 18-karat yellow gold with diamonds, which added a touch of understated glamour.
For her handbag, she opted for a Prada Saffiano Buckle Tote in a soft nude shade, balancing functionality and elegance.
For her part, Princess Josephine, imitating her mother’s style, wore a reversible plaid coat by Massimo Dutti, a piece with sentimental value, as it originally belonged to Queen Mary.
First seen on the queen in 2014, this versatile coat, with blue checks on one side and a plain finish on the other, has since become a family favorite.
Mary’s two daughters, Isabella and Josephine, have been spotted borrowing it on several occasions.
