This Monday, November 11, Queen Mary paid a meaningful visit to the Deaconess Foundation (Diakonissestiftelsen) in Copenhagen’s Frederiksberg neighborhood, where she has recently assumed the role of patron.
This foundation, with a legacy of more than 160 years, provides comprehensive care and support to Danish citizens of all ages, including some of the country’s most vulnerable populations.
The Queen’s new patronage, a role she assumed in May from Queen Margrethe, continues a royal tradition dating back to the 1860s and links generations of the Danish royal family to this mission of service.
The Deaconess Foundation, founded in 1866 by the visionary Crown Princess Louise, wife of the future King Christian IX, has become one of Denmark’s most impactful social enterprises.
Queen Mary’s Style at the Deaconess Foundation
For the occasion, Queen Mary brought a touch of elegance with her stylish attire.
Mary chose a navy blue suit from The Fold, namely the flared Alzira straight pants and Abbeville jacket, which she paired with a bold red Isabel Marant Sloan turtleneck blouse with ruffle detailing.
To complete her look, she wore Sophie Bille Brahe Boucle Ensemble earrings, which added a subtle touch of sophistication to her outfit.
