Queen Mary of Denmark once again demonstrated her mastery of the art of dressing during the recent state visit of the President of Egypt to Copenhagen.
Despite the winter chill that marked the day, the monarch wore an impeccable combination of elegance, style and adaptability, all while meeting the demands of royal protocol.
Queen Mary’s style during the Egyptian President’s State Visit
The morning began with the official welcome at Amalienborg Palace, where Mary dazzled in a green coat from The Fold.
This cross silhouette and slightly flared skirt design had already been protagonist in 2022, during the visit of the King and Queen of Spain.
On this occasion, Mary wore a voluminous gray headdress, an accessory she had debuted a decade ago during a visit to Canada.
The queen combined the coat with a gray skirt that showed a few centimeters below the hem and matching heels, demonstrating her ability to mix pieces in a harmonious way.
She also added fur gloves in a slightly darker shade than the coat, a rather practical choice given the prevailing cold.
During the traditional flower offering at the Kastellet Citadel, Mary opted for an extra shawl to protect her from the cold temperatures.
Although this accessory was not part of the initial look, it proved that functionality and elegance are not at odds.
As for jewelry, Mary opted for simplicity with pearl earrings, an accessory she has worn on numerous occasions and that complements almost any outfit.
However, what really captured the attention was a flower-shaped brooch, adorned with rhinestones.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, Mary looked impeccable throughout the day.
