On November 8, 2024, Queen Mary of Denmark made an eye-catching appearance at the annual party of the University of Copenhagen, a date that coincided with the anniversary of a delicate moment in her personal life.
Just a year earlier, in 2023, some photos of her husband, Prince Frederik, strolling through Madrid with actress Genoveva Casanova had generated controversy and rumors of infidelity.
Now, on this marked date, Mary showed that she is moving forward and focused on her responsibilities as queen.
After spending a few days in her native Australia with her twins, Josephine and Vincent, the Queen returned to Denmark to fulfill her official agenda.
Mary decided to attend the university event alone, as King Frederik cleared his schedule for those days.
Upon her arrival at the event, Mary was warmly welcomed by the director of the university, Henrik C. Wegener, and the chairman of the board, Merete Eldrup.
The ceremony at the University of Copenhagen commemorates each year its founding in 1479, and on this occasion, Mary attended the proclamation of the 2024 honorary doctors and doctorates.
Among the highlights of the day, the Queen also heard a lecture presented by Professor Lene Hansen of the Institute of Political Science entitled “Images, Emotions and International Security.”

For the occasion, Mary wore an elegant outfit according to the event. She arrived in a camel-colored cape by Oscar de la Renta, which perfectly complemented her classic bottle green midi dress with a closed neckline and puffed sleeves by Beulah London.
She completed her look with a dark belt that accentuated her waist, as well as Gianvito Rossi pumps in pink python leather. The Queen of Denmark also showed a serene and smiling attitude throughout the day.
