The second day of the Icelandic president’s state visit to Denmark was marked by Queen Mary’s choice of a very significant outfit.

For this day, the Danish monarch chose to repeat a tailored suit that has a special history, as it was the same one she wore in one of the most difficult moments of her public life.

To understand the relevance of this outfit, it is necessary to go back to November 2023. It was then that the Spanish magazine Lecturas brought to light some photos of King Frederik strolling through Madrid with actress Genoveva Casanova.

Despite the media uproar, Queen Mary had to keep to her official schedule without showing the impact that this situation could have had on her private life.

In that difficult moment, Mary of Denmark chose a two-piece ensemble by Scanlan Theodore in safari green, which she combined with a white blouse with pleated collar and animal print stilettos by Gianvito Rossi. As final details, an elegant brooch and gray pearl earrings completed her look.

Now, almost a year later and in a completely different context, the queen has decided to wear the same outfit again.

The Scanlan Theodore suit, along with Gianvito Rossi heels, was part of her outfit for the second day of the state visit, with the only variation being smaller pearl earrings.

This time, without the ghosts of the past around her, Mary looked confident and stylish in this tailored suit.
