Queen Mary of Denmark once again dazzled at another gala evening, demonstrating her good taste and commitment to sustainable fashion.
After having presided over an official dinner in honor of the President of Finland at Christiansborg Palace, Mary attended the 25th anniversary dinner of the American Chamber of Commerce in Denmark (AmCham’s), held at the elegant Moltke Palace on Thursday, October 10.
Queen Mary in a dress by Jesper Hovring
For this occasion, the queen opted for a navy blue velvet dress, a design signed by the Danish Jesper Hovring, which she had previously worn.
The dress, which stands out for its asymmetrical neckline and a striking mustard yellow cape, played with color contrasts in a bold but sophisticated way.
Mary had debuted this piece on a very special occasion: the 70th birthday party of Prince Charles, hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in 2018.
The queen completed her look with a yellow satin clutch handbag by Yves Saint Laurent, which harmonized perfectly with the tone of the dress coat, and elegant black patent leather pumps by Gianvito Rossi.
Every detail of her wardrobe was meticulously thought out, showing Mary’s ability to reuse garments with great style.
As for jewelry, Mary decided to stick to the gold line, choosing yellow gold earrings by designer Rebekka Nortki.
These pieces stood out for their unique design: two shells joined by a bar decorated with small diamonds. The bracelet, also by Nortki, perfectly complemented the ensemble with its elegant simplicity.
