At the end of her state visit to France, Queen Mary of Denmark once again demonstrated why she is considered a benchmark of elegance and sobriety.
Accompanied by King Frederik, the Queen began her day at the emblematic Hôtel de Ville in Paris, where she was received by Mayor Anne Hidalgo in the gardens of City Hall.
The meeting was followed by a stroll along the Seine, a scene that combined Parisian charm with cordiality between the Danish and French delegations.
Later, the kings met with Yaël Braun-Pivet, president of the National Assembly, followed by President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.
Together they toured the historic Notre Dame Cathedral, currently undergoing restoration after a devastating fire in 2019.
On that occasion, the queen and first lady also paid a visit to the Foch Hospital to learn more about the center’s technological and scientific advances.
But it was the queen’s style that caught many eyes that day.
Queen Mary’s style on her last day in France
Mary chose an outfit by Danish designer Mark Kenly Domino Tan, consisting of a Judy blazer jacket and linen culottes, both in soft gray.
The ensemble had a cozy style, but without losing the freshness of spring.
The detail that broke with the neutral palette of the outfit was a turquoise brooch signed by the maison Dior. This piece attracted attention without overshadowing the harmony of the outfit.
To complement the look, Mary opted for burgundy suede Gainsbourg 85 boots by Aquazzura, which added height and structure to her figure, as well as a brown suede Chanel Classic Jumbo bag, a symbol of timeless elegance.
She completed her styling with light brown sunglasses by Ray-Ban and hoop earrings by Danish designer Sophie Bille Brahe.
Throughout the day, Queen Mary showed how it is possible to maintain dress diplomacy without sacrificing character and personal style.
