In an evening full of elegance and celebration, Queen Mary of Denmark dazzled at a gala dinner at Bellevue Palace, Berlin, organized to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Nordic embassy in Germany.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender hosted the event, which was attended by leading Nordic royals and several political leaders from the region.
Queen Mary in a red dress by Carolina Herrera
Mary, who always impresses with her impeccable style, chose a spectacular red dress by Carolina Herrera for the occasion.
The design, made in silk mikado, stood out for its voluminous structure and the delicacy of its cut.
The skirt, softly pleated, elegantly held its shape while a sash cinched to the body highlighted the queen’s waist. Curved seams and short sleeves completed this perfect outfit for the evening.
In addition to the dress, one of the most notable details of Mary’s look was the jewelry she chose.
The queen wore the diamond and pearl earrings she wore on her wedding day, pieces with a very special sentimental meaning. But what really captured attention was a piece of jewelry that until now had been reserved only for queens: a pearl bracelet with a cameo in the center, featuring Queen Josephine of Denmark and Sweden.
Guests at the event also included other royal figures, such as Crown Princes Victoria and Daniel of Sweden, and Haakon and Mette-Marit of Norway. Although etiquette called for ball gowns, it was not a state event, so the ladies present did not wear tiaras.
