On May 6, Queen Mary had an intense day, combining diplomatic work with culture and, as usual, making a strong impression with her style.
It all began with a serious agenda meeting at the Palace of Frederik VIII. There he received the executive director of the United Nations Population Fund, Natalia Kanem.
It was a meeting focused on urgent issues: maternal health, family planning, gender violence and the role of the private sector in all this.
After work, came the music. Mary moved on to the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Frederiksberg.
It was her first time visiting the institution as patron, a role she inherited after Queen Margrethe’s abdication.
Before the concert, she toured the newly renovated building with architect Vilhelm Lauritzen.
Queen Mary’s style at the Royal Danish Academy of Music
For the occasion, Queen Mary opted for a monochromatic ensemble in pink, composed of Max Mara pieces.
Mary wore a wide trouser suit with matching vest, paired with a short jacket in the same shade.
She completed the look with python leather stilettos signed by Gianvito Rossi and a small Whitney bag, also by Max Mara.
As for jewelry, she chose earrings by Dulong and delicate necklaces by Julie Sandlau and Nadia Shelbaya.
