Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Queen Letizia of Spain, although they have quite different fashion styles, have coincided in their choice of dresses from the same firm: Carolina Herrera.
This coincidence has caught the attention of royal fashion lovers, highlighting how two royals can interpret the same design in very different ways.
Queen Mathilde’s Carolina Herrera Floral Dress
Recently, at the summit of leaders of German-speaking countries held in Luxembourg, Queen Mathilde surprised with an elegant midi dress by Carolina Herrera.
This ivory colored design with a vibrant floral print in fuchsia tones has a halter neckline, an evasé skirt with pleats and practical flap pockets. This dress, in duchesse fabric, is a perfect example of Mathilde’s classic and refined style.
On the other hand, Queen Letizia has shown her own style with a similar dress by Carolina Herrera, but in a different version.
The shirt design worn by the Queen of Spain is made in crepe de chine and silk blend. Featuring a voluminous skirt, long sleeves with shirt cuffs and a bow at the waist, Letizia paired her dress with white Hugo Boss sandals and a fuchsia bag, also by Carolina Herrera, during a meeting at the Barcelona City Hall at the end of July.
While Queen Mathilde completed her look with fuchsia Giorgio Armani pumps and a matching handbag, along with a pink bolero cardigan by Belgian firm Natan, Letizia opted for more modern and daring accessories.
The coincidence in their dress choices highlights the versatility of Carolina Herrera and its ability to appeal to different European royalty.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg also joined the trend, choosing a green Carolina Herrera dress for the same summit.
Her taffeta design with French sleeves and incorporated belt proves that the Venezuelan’s signature continues to be a favorite choice among the continent’s royals.
