Queen Mathilde of Belgium has resumed her official schedule after a quiet Christmas vacation, and she has done so with elegance in a cultural event that has placed her in the spotlight.
Her first public act of the year took her to the Mudel Museum, in the town of Deinze, where she attended the exhibition “Emile Claus, the Prince of Enlightenment”, an exhibition that celebrates the centenary of the death of this famous impressionist painter.

But beyond her interest in art, what really caught the eye was her impeccable choice of wardrobe, a perfect reflection of the ‘silent luxury’ trend.
This trend, which became popular last year, is characterized by the use of garments and accessories from high-end brands, recognizable only by fashion connoisseurs thanks to their sobriety and timeless design.
Queen Mathilde proved to be a true expert in this aesthetic by wearing an outfit designed exclusively for her by the Belgian firm Natan, one of her favorite fashion houses.
The chosen style was composed of two pieces in gray.
The straight pants with wide legs and a wide leg gave a classic look, while the blouse became the true protagonist of the outfit.
The upper garment, made in a plaid print fabric, had an oversize cut, short sleeves and an asymmetrical hem with a side knot, which gave it a modern and bold touch.
The wrap collar, topped by a delicate side layer, added a note of distinction, while the discreet opening at the back of the blouse completed the design in a subtle way.
Mathilde’s choice of accessories only raised the level of her styling even higher.
For this occasion, she opted for an evening clutch from the 2013 Armani Privé Haute Couture collection, an elegant and exclusive accessory that matched perfectly with the rest of the outfit.
The earrings, delicate flower-shaped pieces by Muchinskiy Jewelry, added a subtle sparkle thanks to their resin finish.
As a final touch, she wore her unmistakable Rolex Datejust watch in silver and gold, with a dial adorned with small diamonds, an accessory that usually accompanies her at her official events.
