Queen Mathilde has been actively involved in initiatives aimed at empowering young people, recently visiting two projects backed by the Queen Mathilde Fund (KMF – Koningin Mathildefonds).
This fund supports the ‘I SEE IDEA I DO’ initiative, which, over three years from 2021 to 2024, encourages youth to address local challenges with innovative solutions.
The fund provides financial assistance and professional guidance to help turn their ideas into reality.
Her first stop was in Hasselt, where she visited the Prikkelarm Jeugdhuis, a community center specifically designed for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This center, operated by the organization ‘Autism Lives!’, serves as a supportive gathering place for young people, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Following this, Queen Mathilde headed to Verviers to explore SCAN-R, a platform dedicated to civic expression aimed at youth aged 12 to 25.
During her visit, she engaged with young individuals, listening to their thoughts and experiences regarding social commitment and the issues that matter to them.
Queen Mathilde’s chic outfit
On this special day, Queen Mathilde looked elegant in her Natan Couture x Alicia Audrey Lexie Cashmere and Wool Cape, which featured a reversible design in navy and grey.
Mathilde paired it with a chic Natan printed blouse and navy trousers, completing her outfit with stunning Jimmy Choo Romy 100 Pumps in navy suede.
A touch of sophistication was added by her Rolex Datejust watch, crafted in silver and gold with a diamond dial.
