Queen Mathilde of Belgium once again showcased her commitment to cultural and social initiatives by attending a special singing workshop at the Royal Theatre of La Monnaie in Brussels.
This event was part of the project ‘A Bridge Between Two Worlds,’ an initiative designed to foster inclusion by connecting individuals from diverse backgrounds through music.
The workshop gathered around thirty participants, including adults facing social, economic, or health challenges, alongside seventeen children from Tivoli Primary School.
Under the guidance of a choir conductor and accompanied by a pianist, the group rehearsed classic French chansons.
Queen Mathilde observed the session attentively, later taking the time to engage in heartfelt conversations with the participants, listening to their experiences and perspectives.
The setting for this inspiring event was the historic Malibran Room, named after the renowned 19th-century opera singer Maria Malibran, who lived in Brussels during the 1820s.
This rehearsal space, part of the La Monnaie complex, has been a hub for artistic preparation since 1998, bringing together all the opera house’s workshops and rehearsal areas under one roof.
Queen Mathilde’s style at the Royal Theater of La Monnaie
For the occasion, Queen Mathilde opted for an elegant yet understated look, reflecting her refined sense of style.
Mathilde wore a sophisticated Dalma top by Natan Couture, paired with Gianvito Rossi’s Gianvito 105 pumps in a soft Fumo Grey suede.
To complete the ensemble, she chose delicate gold earrings by Belgian designer Annick Tapernoux, adding a subtle yet polished touch to her appearance.
