On her third day of her visit to Kenya with King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima once again proved why she is one of the most stylish and daring royals when it comes to fashion.
As part of the diplomatic tradition, the kings of the Netherlands hosted an evening in honor of their hosts, with a concert featuring the Dutch band Fuse.
Queen Maxima in brown dress by Valentino
During the special event held at the JW Marriott hotel in Nairobi, the monarch appeared in a brown Valentino dress that left no one indifferent.
After having repeated outfits, in the evening Maxima opted to debut a design from Valentino’s spring-summer 2016 collection, an African-inspired line that nods to the Maasai culture and the fauna of the savannah.
The garment stood out for its oversize silhouette, cape-like sleeves with shoulder slits and an elegant V-neckline.
In the center of the neckline, a necklace with an ethnic-looking pendant held the two parts of the dress together.
To go with her outfit, the queen chose accessories that enhanced the gold of the beetle. She wore Monies curved gold maxi earrings and two large matching bracelets.
As for accessories, she opted for a raffia basket bag by Marina Raphael. The final touch was her golden Gianvito Rossi sandals.
