Before winding down her busy official schedule for the year, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands made a prominent appearance at one of the most charitable events of the holiday season.
On December 13, the queen attended the recordings of the Christmas Music Gala, an event that has become an annual tradition since 2016, in which she participates as honorary chairwoman of the foundation “Méér Muziek in de Klas” (More Music in the Classroom).
This organization aims to promote music education in primary schools in the Netherlands, a subject close to the Queen’s heart.
Queen Maxima’s style at Christmas Music Gala
Arriving at the AFAS theater in Leusden, Queen Maxima dazzled in an elegant long black cloth coat, which she paired with a black satin clutch, perfect for the occasion.
But it was upon entering the venue that she surprised with her evening ensemble, a sophisticated and appropriate choice for the gala.
The Queen opted for a navy blue velvet top, a fabric that gently reflected the light, combined with wide green sequined pants from Natan, one of her favorite brands.
This combination of velvet top and sequined pants is not new to the Queen. It is a formula that has given her good results on other occasions.
During the gala, the Queen had the opportunity to meet with primary school children who are part of the largest school band in the Netherlands.
