Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has once again proved that rhythm runs through her veins.

Known for being one of the most passionate royals to dance, we have seen her moving to the beat of an Argentine tango, enjoying a Brazilian samba and even dancing merengue with joy.

This Thursday, during an official event in her schedule, Maxima didn’t miss the opportunity to join a dance class for seniors, moving to the tune of Juan Luis Guerra’s catchy song “Quisiera ser un pez” (I’d like to be a fish).

The event took place in Soesterberg, a town in the province of Utrecht, where the queen inaugurated the new De Basis Sociocultural Center.

This space has been created so that the residents of the community have a place to meet, share ideas and develop activities that promote integration and well-being, especially for the elderly.

It was precisely in one of these activities where Maxima, without hesitation, joined the group to learn the choreography that the dance instructor was teaching.

As if she were one of the group, the queen followed the steps with enthusiasm, twirling and raising her arms while the popular Latin song played.

Those present couldn’t help but smile to see their queen enjoying herself as much as they did. Her spontaneity and closeness made that at the end of the class, Maxima received a warm applause, to which she responded with a broad smile.

For the occasion, and in keeping with the importance of the event, Maxima opted for an elegant and formal style.

The queen chose a navy blue dress from the Belgian house Natan, decorated with delicate floral embroidery in white. This dress is not new in her closet; in fact, it is the third time she has worn it since she debuted it in 2022.

She completed her look with high heels, over ten centimeters, by Gianvito Rossi, proving that not even the height of the heels stops her when it comes to dancing.

In addition, Maxima wore her hair up in a sophisticated low bun adorned with an off-white headpiece by Belgian designer Fabienne Delvigne.

To add a touch of glamour, she wore white gloves and diamond and sapphire jewelry including earrings, rings and bracelets.

On Friday, the queen’s schedule continues with a visit to the preparations for the famous Zundert flower show.
