Queen Maxima of the Netherlands recently participated in the anniversary conference of the National Institute for Family Finance Information (NIBUD), celebrating 45 years of its impactful work.
The event took place at the Mediaplaza in Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, where she addressed attendees with a speech focused on the importance of financial literacy and household budgeting.
In her role as the honorary chair of SchuldenlabNL and the Financial Wiser platform, as well as a special advocate for inclusive financing for development appointed by the UN Secretary General, Queen Maxima emphasized NIBUD’s mission.
This independent center conducts research and provides practical advice to help families manage their finances effectively, aiming to prevent households from falling into financially vulnerable situations.
Following the conference, the Queen traveled to Amsterdam to attend the launch of the Amsterdam Internship Pact for MBO students. This initiative underscores the significance of securing quality internships for students while benefiting employers.
