On March 8, 2025, in the framework of International Women’s Day, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended an event dedicated to improving women’s health, organized by WOMEN Inc. at the Amsterdam UMC.
Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Fleur Agema, the monarch participated in this important day that seeks to highlight the differences in healthcare between men and women.
During the event, the Queen received the first copy of the book Diagnose: Vrouw, a publication promoted by WOMEN Inc. that addresses gender inequality in the healthcare system and the need to adapt medical treatments to the specific needs of women.
Following the presentation of the book, its author, Xanne Visser, led a panel discussion with medical experts and other contributors, highlighting the importance of equity in healthcare.
