On Wednesday, Queen Maxima visited the Blijf Groep in Almere. This visit was to celebrate fifty years since the first women’s shelter, called “Stay-of-My-Life Home,” was opened in the Netherlands.
At the Orange House, Queen Maxima learned about the work done by various care providers and employees.
She also met with a resident and their care provider to understand their experiences.
Additionally, she was informed about a project called The New Future, which helps women who have faced domestic violence find jobs.
Queen Maxima wore a Navy Blue suit by Max Mara, paired with navy blue leather heels by Gianvito Rossi.
