Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has once again demonstrated her impeccable style during one of the busiest weeks of her royal schedule.
This Thursday, October 3, she made a memorable appearance at the prestigious Appeltjes van Oranje awards, organized by the Oranje Fonds.
These awards honor social projects that address important societal issues, and this year the focus was on the fight against loneliness.
Queen Maxima in white dress by Ulla Johnson
At the event, held at the Noordeinde Palace, Maxima wore a dazzling new look. It was a white dress by Ulla Johnson, from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
The dress, made from luxurious crepe de Chine, featured a fitted bodice with waist, cuffs and neckline detailing. The asymmetrical skirt, with a subtle slit on the left side, added a modern touch to the classic silhouette.
Maxima chose equally bold accessories. She paired the dress with striking snake-print heels that contrasted with the pristine white of the fabric.
Her signature oversized gold earrings with striking gold spheres completed the look, making her stand out even more at the formal event.
The Queen was not alone. King Willem-Alexander and Princess Beatrix, both patrons of the Oranje Fund, also attended the ceremony.
Although the King usually shares the responsibility of presenting the awards, this year it was Maxima’s turn. Her genuine enthusiasm and joy were evident throughout the event, as she congratulated the winners, who will each receive a $25,000 grant to further develop their projects.
