Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and King Willem-Alexander have returned to official life after their summer vacation, and their first stop was in the Walcheren region, located in the province of Zeeland.
After recent events where she was seen in more casual attire, such as the Paris Olympics and F1, the Queen has returned to her regal style with an outfit that stands out for its elegance and boldness.
Queen Maxima in Lace and Transparency Dress by Natan
On her visit to Walcheren, Maxima opted for a lace dress with transparencies and a touch of extravagance that characterizes her.
Designed by Natan, the dress, with an asymmetrical neckline and tulle ruffles, perfectly reflects the Queen’s taste for garments that do not go unnoticed.
This design is not new to her closet, as she debuted it in 2019 during a state visit to India, and has since worn it on several occasions.
The ensemble was complemented with a turban-like headdress, made with the same lace as the dress, complying with the Dutch protocol that she usually follows on this type of visit.
To complete the look, Maxima chose a Sophie Habsburg handbag in nude and Gianvito Rossi heels, also in nude, with which she underlined her preference for high heels, very much in contrast to other royals who have adopted the kitten heels trend, such as Queen Letizia.
Jewelry, which always plays a prominent role in Maxima’s outfits, was carefully selected for this occasion.
She wore new diamond earrings with chalcedonies, an emerald-cut aquamarine ring, several diamond bracelets and, as always, a red and white string with the traditional Greek mother-of-pearl eye, an amulet that the Queen does not part with.
The day began in Vlissingen, where the King and Queen visited the De Schelde shipyard, currently being transformed into a new residential and working area.
Then, in Middelburg, the monarch and his wife explored the Zeeland Joint Research Center, where solutions to water, energy and food challenges are being worked on.
In Veere, they had the opportunity to see the historical-cultural heritage of the region, and in Serooskerke, they observed the freshwater basin intended to help farmers in periods of drought.
This first official act after the vacations marked Maxima’s return to her duties and her unmistakable style.
