Queen Maxima started the new year with a meaningful visit to The Hague on January 14, 2025, where she explored the Thuis in Den Haag (Home in The Hague) community art project.
Organized by the Haags Verhaal Foundation, the initiative seeks to foster a sense of belonging by inviting participants to creatively express what “home” means to them.
During Queen Maxima’s visit, participants demonstrated how they contribute to the project by embroidering personal symbols or short phrases with red thread onto pieces of fabric.
These individual works will eventually form part of a larger installation, with a wooden house structure serving as the centerpiece.
The final artwork is set to be unveiled in May at the Central Library in The Hague.
Queen Maxima dazzles in purple Natan outfit
Queen Maxima’s attire for the event was both elegant and appropriate for the occasion.
She opted for a chic purple ensemble featuring the Lorna top and Serena trousers by Belgian fashion house Natan, a brand she often turns to for official engagements.
Complementing her outfit, she chose a pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps and the striking Half Moon earrings by Olympia Babylonia, which added a subtle touch of glamour.
To ward off the chilly winter air, Queen Maxima arrived in a camel-colored Bahamas double-breasted wool coat by Max Mara.
