This Wednesday, October 23, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands dedicated her day to two significant engagements, each focusing on crucial issues in healthcare and poverty reduction.
In the morning, she visited the Noordwest Hospital Group in Alkmaar, where the conversation revolved around the ‘Future of Healthcare’.
The visit highlighted the increasing importance of regional collaboration and the role of technology in improving patient care.
During her tour, Queen Maxima visited a nursing ward and the radiology department. Here, she learned how artificial intelligence and other innovations are being used to enhance diagnostics, streamline treatments, and lighten the administrative burden on nurses.
Later that afternoon, Queen Maxima traveled to Hoofddorp to attend a working visit focused on the ‘Stronger Together Against Poverty’ program.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Oranje Fonds and Nationale-Nederlanden, aims to provide early support to residents facing poverty, helping them before they reach a stage where formal debt restructuring is necessary.
The program emphasizes the power of local alliances in combating poverty and creating a stronger safety net for vulnerable communities.

During both visits, Queen Maxima made an impression not only with her insights but also with her fashion. She radiated elegance in an all-red ensemble, which featured a knee-length, sleeveless dress and a matching tailored coat.
Her look was tastefully accessorized with beige suede heels and a clutch, balancing the boldness of her red outfit.
To add a touch of sparkle, she wore ruby earrings, diamond bracelets, and her signature wedding ring. Her chic bun and a subtle smoky eye completed the polished yet approachable look.
